My ideas come from the top and bottom of my brain, so they end up somewhere in the middle. When an idea makes it through the arbitrary and ever-changing filters inside my head, that’s when I know it’s a good one.
I primarily use pen and ink: erasing is not an option, leading to a rougher quality of linework and impact. I translate these drawings into prints, sculptures, and animations.
I scrawl doodles and scratch writing into my sketchbook, and I make composition out of the chaos. My art is a front-row seat to how I have decided the world is.
I want people to be at least a little put off and bothered by my work, but I put joy into creating my work and want that to show as well. Each piece reflects that discomfort, joy, and my sense of humor – so if you miss one, check again (or get a better sense of humor).
